Cast Iron Stoves

Cast iron is great material for the manufacture of wood burning stoves; it is mixture of pig iron, recycled scrap iron and steel.  Cast iron over the years has become a synonym for durability in the stove trade.  The major advantages of cast iron are that it can be form into almost any shape and therefore your stove can have mouldings,  soft curves and forms.  Cast iron stoves have more mass and therefore it will hold heat for longer than a steel stove.
