Here at Eurostove we're always looking to work with other companies & charities who share our values, principles and passion for all things wood and woodburning.
The partners we are currently very pleased and proud to be working with are: Certainly Wood - a company specialising in Kiln Dried Wood from local sustainable sources, and the Woodland Trust - the number one woodland conservation charity in the UK.
Below is information on who they are, what they stand for and how we work together.
Who is the Woodland Trust?
As the UK's leading woodland conservation charity, the Woodland Trust works across the UK to restore, plant and protect native woods and trees. Over the last 40 years the Woodland Trust has planted more than 23 million native trees, in the last 10 years the charity has helped save over 400 threatened ancient woods. The Woodland Trust is also carrying out a vast restoration project to bring 9600 hectares of damaged woodland back to life.
How Eurostove & Mendip Stoves help
Together with businesses such as Eurostove, the Woodland Trust can achieve its vision of a richly wooded country enjoyed and valued by everyone. The Mendip Stoves range from Eurostove has been designing and producing woodburning and multi-fuel stoves of the highest quality for years and has developed a reputation for supplying stoves with the best combustion techniques, looks and build quality. This ensures stoves are sustainable and last for years. We are helping the Woodland Trust by promoting sustainable woodland fuel, and with every stove sold from our Mendip Stoves range the Woodland Trust recieves £10. With this donation we are helping the Woodland Trust safeguard the future of the ancient woodland here in the UK, plant trees and protect vital habitats for wildlife.
"Eurostove is delighted to be working with the Woodland Trust, helping the charity to plant hunderds of trees. We have a huge commitment to being a sustainable business which includes encouraging our customers to use wood from sustainable sources to power our stoves."
"We see the Woodland Trust as being the perfect fit and are delighted that our support will see the planting and protection of trees across the UK."
Chris Baines, MD, Eurostove Ltd
"It is great that Mendip Stoves has chosen to dedicate money through planting trees from sales of their woodburning stoves. They have a clear commitment to promoting the use of sustainably sourced wood.
"The support will contribute to us increasing the native woodland coverage in the UK. This is essential as in the UK we have only 13% cover compared to the European average of 44%."
Karl Mitchell, Director of Fundraising at the Woodland Trust
How you help
By buying a stove from the Mendip Stoves range, you are donating £10 to the Woodland Trust. Just £10 funds the planting of three native trees in the UK, creating woodland for future generations to enjoy, share and protect.
What else you can do
Want to create your own wood? You can with MOREwoods, the Woodland Trust's scheme providing practical and some financial support to people - from landowners, councils to communities - for tree planting. Since starting the scheme in 2008, the Woodland Trust has helped thousands of people and communities plant more than 1,100 hectares of woodland.
If you would like to see how trees can improve your land - whether to help wildlife flourish, create a secrure and cheap supply of future firewood for your Mendip Stove, or simply because of your love of trees, visit woodlandtrust.org.uk to find out more.
By joining the Woodland Trust for only £3 per month you'll be helping protect and restore the UK's glorious ancient woodland and adding to the 23 million trees that the Woodland Trust has already planted and they've created valuable homes for wildlife throughout the UK.
