Nothing gives a warm welcome like the glow from a wood burning stove. As well as providing a central source of heat during the winter months, a standalone stove will also create a classic focal point for the living area, dining room or open-plan scheme.
Ashcott is the latest model from Mendip Stoves. It has an innovative magnetic door for easy closing and offers the perfect blend between classic and contemporary styling with its large viewing window, elegant legs and fuss-free finish with stainless steel handle. Providing a 4.7kW heat output, the Ashcott has a direct outside air connector for maximum efficiency.
The Ashcott stove needs only 150mm to combustibles at the rear of the stove, enabling you to have it installed 150mm away from a timber feature without fear of a fire. This also has the added benefit that all the heat generated moves forward into the room, which is where it’s needed most.
Ashcott is also Ecodesign Ready. Ecodesign is a European-wide programme to lower emissions, which comes into force in the UK in 2022. Setting the standard for environmentally friendly stoves, the scheme is supported by DEFRA and overseen by HETAS, who will independently verify that the stoves pass the required criteria and tests.
This stove is also part of the Woodland Trust offer from Eurostove. For every stove sold, Mendip Stoves will donate £10 to the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading conservation charity. Chris Baines, Managing Director of Eurostove Ltd, said:
“Eurostove and Mendip Stoves are delighted to be working with the Woodland Trust, helping the charity to plant hundreds of trees. We have a huge commitment to being a sustainable business, which includes encouraging our customers to use wood from sustainable sources to power our stoves. We see the Woodland Trust as being the perfect fit and are delighted that our support will see the planting and protection of trees across the UK.”
